In almost 30 years of rehabbing birds I have seen one other Nightjar/Common Poorwill. and that was two weeks ago. Mineral Wells Animal Control just got in this fledgling bird. It is about 6 inches long and still has it's baby fuzz so I am not sure if I have a Nightjar or a Chuck-will. But I do know that with that big mouth it is one of them. We have the right environment here for him to thrive. So once he is a little older and flying better, he will be released here at the sanctuary.
